Coaching Opportunities

The OISC is preparing for the summer soccer season We have many coaching opportunities for youth teams from 7 to 18 years old at various competitive and recreational levels. If you are interested please contact the Club Administrator at admin@ottawasoccer.com for details.

OISC Winter Coaches' training

The OISC 2010 Annual Coaches Training will commence Wednesday 6 January and continue each Wednesday until 24 February 2010. This training is mandatory for all OISC competitive coaches and highly recommended for all OISC coaches. The sessions will consist of:

7:30 to 9:00 PM - Theory at Louis Riel classroom at the Louis Riel Dome ( this is a change from 2009)

9-10 PM - Practical at Gloucester Dome (just down the road from Louis Riel)

10-11 PM - Scrimmage

Because of the late notice of the unavailability of the Gloucester Conference room (due to renovations) which the club used in 2009 for theory training the 2010 schedule has been delayed and will be on the website by 24 December 2009.

To the Ottawa Internationals Soccer Community,

We, the Nancarrow family wish to express our gratitude to the many people of the Ottawa Internationals Soccer Club who have contributed both financially and morally to our fight to save the life of our lovely daughter Lisa through medical treatments in the United States that are not yet covered by OHIP. The fight continues both with OHIP and the illness. We are hoping and praying that our fight will be successful. You have all contributed to help make our tremendous financial burden of these treatments possible. The financial requirement is a still huge burden with fund raising ventures ongoing by friends and family. We want to take this opportunity to thank the The Ottawa Internationals Soccer family who have been so supportive that it is difficult to express our appreciation with words. We are so thankful and hope this support will continue by way of visiting the Lisa's website at: www.forlisa.ca where Lisa's progress, blogs and fund-raising initiatives are posted.

The next fundraiser initiative for Lisa Nancarrow is an evening of comedy titled "Laughter, the Best Medicine". The event will be held Nov 18 starting with a Silent Auction. The event will be held at St. Elias Conference Center at 750 Richmond Road. Tickets are $25 and are available at the website www.forlisa.ca or by contacting The Nancarrow Family at at 3338 Albion Road, 613-731-1178. Please call in advance so that tickets will be ready for pickup.

Summer Office hours

Monday: 1pm to 3pm
Tuesday: 5pm to 8pm
Wednesday: 1pm to 3pm
Thursday: 1pm to 3pm
Friday: Closed

Please note that if you cannot make it into the office during the posted business hours there is a drop box outside of our office that is checked daily.

Volunteers Needed

The Ottawa Internationals SC is a non-profit organization governed by a
volunteer Board of Directors which shall consist of at least eleven individuals, or such number not to be less than four. The Board of Directors ensure accountability and responsiveness to the needs of members and conducts the business of the Club during the periods between general meetings of the Club and in accordance with the authority granted to it in the rules and regulations of the Club.

Currently The Board of Directors is looking to fill the position of Corporate Secretary. If you are interested please contact the clubs treasure at treasurer@ottawasoccer.com for details.
