OISC U9 Boys victorious at Russell Tournament 2008

Congratulations to the OISC Boys U9 "A" Red Tigers team which won the gold medal at the annual Russell Soccer Club Tournament on August 23 and 24, 2008. Under the direction of coach Larry Blanchette, the Red Tigers reached the finals with a three wins and one loss record following the opening round. The one loss was against the Kanata Lightning in a heated 2-1 contest. In the final gold medal game the Red Tigers encountered the Kanata Lightning again and, in a particularly spirited game, emerged the victors by a score of 4-2. Well done boys!
