OISC BU9 Spitfires & BU9 Reds met in the finals at the Carleton Place MIST Tournament
OISC BU9 Spitfires Win GOLD at the Carleton Place MIST Tournament August 17, 2009.
The OISC Ottawa Spitfires demonstrated their highly competitive spirit and clear determination to win Gold in the BU9 Boys Championship at this weekend's MIST Tournament in Carleton Place.
Playing against each other on Saturday morning, both talented OISC BU9 teams met in a highly anticipated match, where the OISC Reds edged past the Spitfires to win the game 3 to 2. Continuing the tournament in the sweltering sun and humidity of 35+ degrees, both teams turned up the heat on the competition, winning all games against the other teams.
Entering the Gold Medal match on Sunday, the OISC teams once again battled it out in a highly charged and exciting back and forth duel. In the end, the Spitfires prevailed, winning a 4 to 2 victory and capturing the gold.
